Bayside Patio and Lounge Casual Dining

The Bayside offers casual dining in our nautical decor and an expansive view of the lake and resort grounds. A refreshing drink on our sunny patio is the perfect spot to take in all of the activity! After a fun-filled day in the sun, the Bayside Lounge is a cozy spot to unwind over drinks and dinner. The perfect venue for an evening of relaxing with friends, the menu offerings focus on light fare and traditional favourites. The Bayside Patio and Lounge is a very popular spot. A place where resort guests, Muskoka cottagers and Lake Joseph boaters can stop in for a quick snack or a relaxing beverage. With views overlooking the marina and the lake, The Bayside is a great place to enjoy the warm summer weather; to people watch and see the boats go by.

Meet the Chef

Born and raised in Northern Ontario, Chef Everett Bell is no stranger to fresh local food.   Spending summers on his grandfather's farm, he gained respect and passion for food and farming.   Everett loves the outdoors and strives to use the best and freshest ingredients in season.

Everett started as a dishwasher at age 14 and was cooking by age 15.   He excelled in the kitchen and was soon making every item on the menu.   This inspired him to attend culinary school at Canadore College in North Bay, ON.   After graduating with a Culinary Management diploma he began working at Grandview Resort in Huntsville under the guidance of Executive Chef Ken Schulz.   This started an ongoing culinary relationship that transformed Everett into a chef.

After achieving his Red Seal certification in 2009 Everett continued his culinary journey by spending the winter season at the Lodge at Kananaskis in Alberta.   He then returned to Grandview Resort in the spring of 2010 as a Junior Sous Chef, and spent 18 months at the helm as the Chef at the Rosewood Inn dining room.  It was during this time that he discovered his true taste for local cuisine and became actively involved the local Savour Muskoka culinary organization.  After another winter in Kananaskis Everett returned home as the Executive Chef at Sherwood Inn, the last year managing both the dining room and the kitchen.

As the Executive Chef of Rocky Crest Golf Resort since 2017 Chef Everett is excited to bring a creative curve with fresh, well prepared food to all three of our restaurants, as well as our banquet facilities including our weddings.   Chef and his talented culinary team are always available and pleased to speak with you at any time.
